About Adnan Haru Sharif Philosopheeee
I believe in the bodybuilding and the Elliot Hulse model of learning. The bodybuilding aspect is making yourself a canvas, using a brush to paint(training) the picture you want and of course have the right paint (nurtition) to illustrate your dream. This model has been engrained in my brain so whatever I do outside of that relam I use this method to learn anything. In my Elliot Hulse model I intentionally put myself in uncomfortable positions and I learn through constant failure until I get it right, wheter it is physical, mental or psychological, and my main objective is to make sure that I am a stronger version of myself every moment.

Of course the mind is what really learns and in my philosophy I find if I want to learn something I must loom both my mind and body together. The mind is the internal world were I accumulate, assess, contemplate, and analyse. My body is the external and it must be maintained and made stronger in correlation to my mind because it what I use to communicate out to the world and essentially DO something. I believe in three different worlds that live within us that we must have a hold of to master and learn a certain objective. Our neurological system, nervous system, and muscular system, these all live together in coesense and must not be forgotten if you want to learn. You need all three of them to function properly, whether its learning a new skill, vocabulary, grammer, or sports. They all work together to make a masterpeice, you. I must flood, my mind with knowledge, and analyse, share and assess, what is right or wrong, my nervous system needs to be healthy with the right environmental factors (stress and food) to communicate that through to my muscular system, thus expressing it out to the world. I do not just weight train to get big but so I have a good physical platform to express all that information effectively from that supple mushy lump in my head.
How do I achieve this, well through vigor, faliure, and repetition. You have a goal, you will be filled with the obssesion of attaining, if not then you really dont want that certain goal, you can't be counting the cost before you start something. You have to be obsessed with something to fully understand it, or there is no motive. Through that path you will be go through a million moments of anguish but once you know and have a set plan and an end goal to reach. You must have strict equinimity throught out the entire process, staying focused is a priority for me. After you have reached the end of that goal (finishing all your tiers in lit for example), you should not end there, keep going higher and higher, you never settle for average in my policy, beast or bitch. So in retrospec I like to consider my learning philosophy to be hardcore, the most important think I always keep in mind, is to never feed my egotism, I strive for more confidence, not to be a know it all douche bag. Stay humble, stay hungry, be pragmatic, and be as open to new ideas as possible.
Why do I learn? BECAUSE IT IS MY MAGNIFICANT OBSSESION IS TO BECOME THE STRONEST VERISON OF mySELF, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
My 2015 INDIVIDUAL PLAN FOR SUCCESS
My plan is comprised of three components, the first planning. Without a solid vision of what you want to achieve, you really have no purpose, no purpose then no action. You will not get anywhere. I have always found that when I set deadlines for myself or follow a set plan, for example a workout program. I have always been able to see results, because I have visioned for myself from the start of what I wanted to be. I have been trying to implement this new strategy of mine, planning everything I have in life, my friendship, education, success, and structuring it just like my workout programs. From this year I have made a decision to use this method anywhere I can, I set an end goal and work by weeks, I take baby steps and make sure I do the daily habits and practices necessary to get to the end goal, consistency will win you respect. I set weekly goals that build up to the larger one, because thats just how we weightlifters work ;).
My second component is tracking. Before I venture out into some ambitious goal, I make sure I have an app for everything. Technology is a big part of this component, tracking is necessary to keep yourself accountable and to know that you are making progress. I want make sure my nutrition is healthy this year, then I get a calorie counter app, I want increase my cardio, then I get a running app, I want a higher SAT score I sign up for an online course or find resources. Going pen and paper in this world is not an option, your phone or computer can be a buddy reminding you, put a piece of paper can't do that. Technology gives you the wonderful ability to track your progress through numerous graphs and figures. All this evidence that you compile for yourself shows all the handwork and effort you put in, giving you a sign of progress, bringing you closer and closer to your goal.
Through proper planning and tracking, you know that you are going the right path, sure unexpected things might happen and things do not go as plan. The thing I like to remember the most is the central dogma or end vision I built for myself, and reminding myself that it will be achieved no matter what. Plans have failed for me numerous times, but once I get frustrated and demotivated I look back at all the tracked progress I have logged in, and I get a sense of achievement again. These little sparks of accomplishments, the small weekly goals that I set and tracked myself, is all going into progressive model. That progress is what motivates me to keep going, motivation brings back the fire of purpose and the magnificent obsessions you had initially. It is not about what you get. It’s about who your becoming.
